Album Review: Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace
The Foo Fighters continue to show why they are still currently one of the world’s top rock bands with another above average effort with their new album Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace. Though it’s far from a “blow you away” record, it certainly does the trick for anyone looking simply for a solid rock and roll album.
Highlights include the catchy single “The Pretender” and “Erase the Place”, a song that has a little hint of “Best of You”. Songs like “The Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners” offer a nice change of pace style to the regular Foo Fighters sound. Yet that “norm” sound again seems to be what keeps this album from being great. Many songs on this album sound like past Foo’s songs and thus, the album really offers nothing new besides catchy choruses. And because of this, the album fails to reach the spectacular plateau.

its not “erase this place” its “erase replace” you retard. this albums awesome too, you don’t know what you’re talkin about
The Foo Fighters are one of those bands that I’m always happy to hear when they come up randomly on my ipod but yet never listen to whole albums. This is because it all sounds the same. They settled into a groove long ago, and I doubt they’ll ever grow out of it. But it’s a good groove. And I think there’s a place for that.
