Why are the Brits so Cool?

They’ve had all the best bands in the history of music, they have awesome accents, and they’re neighbors with all the other great countries in the world. Plus, they’re citizens just continue to blow minds:

Bono continues to be the only person who seems to care about the world.

Speaking at the premiere of ‘Across The Universe’ Bono showed support for the monks telling the Associated Press “Their nonviolence may, I pray, win out over the ugliness of the situation,”

“There is jeopardy. I slept uneasily last night, and I’m sure everyone else that watched did, too,” he continued before asking “How far are they going to have to go?”

And former PM Tony Blair likes admitting mistakes. Such as the fact, he could never get the hang of Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man” on guitar.

The former Prime Minister, who was in a band at university called Ugly Rumours, confessed to frontman Ozzy Osbourne that he could never get the band’s track ‘Iron Man’ right.

“I met Tony Blair a couple of years ago, and he said to me, ‘I was in a band once, and I could never get the riff to ‘Iron Man’ right,’” recalled Osbourne. “I thought, ‘Why are you telling me about ‘Iron Man’ when there’s a war going on?’”

Props for trying, Mr. Blair! At least you have some sort of talent (cough cough George Bush).

I know, all this pretty much has to do with nothing, but I just felt like posting.

Both quotes from NME.
