Dropkick Murphys make the Red Sox win

Boston’s Dropkick Murphys performed last night in Fenway Park prior to Game 7 between the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians. If you remember, Dropkick recorded a cover of the classic pro-Red Sox song “Tessie” in 2004 as for their hometown team. Several Red Sox players sang background vocals and the band performed multiple times during that year’s playoffs. Well it just so happens that the Red Sox won the World Series that year.

In hopes of reigniting that good luck charm, the Sox brought back the Murphys last night. It looks like it turned out somewhat successful as the Red Sox did win. And yes, the picture about is Murhpys’ guitarst Marc Orrell dancing with Red Sox closer John Paplebon during last night’s post game celebration.
