In fact, it was just another solid rock ‘n roll album from Dave Grohl and company. Besides, why change something that isn’t broken? “The Pretender” and “Erase the Place” can already be put into the category of Foo classics, while the acoustic tribute to the Beaconsfield mine collapse of April, 2006, “Ballad of The Beaconsfield Minors,” contrasts nicely with most of the album’s rock ballads.
