Tapes ‘n Tapes record new album
Minnesota’s Tapes ‘n Tapes have finished recording their second album with the help of Flaming Lips’ producer Dave Fridmann. More details from “Tapes 1″ Josh Grier on their Myspace:

so we’ve finished recording our next record. we spent about 3 weeks out in upstate new york recording and mixing with dave fridmann. it was a lot of fun. i’m really excited about how it’s all turned out. we haven’t settled on a tracklist or album title yet, but that will all come in due time. that was the big news that i wouldn’t talk about in the last blog. i just didn’t want to jinx anything by talking about it before we were done with it. but now that it’s done, i’m pumped! so that’s it…that’s the big news. i’m sure i’ll have more details about the record in the next few months. i’ll be sure to share when i do. til then, it’s back to life as normal.
We’ll post more details as they come, which also should include some new tour dates. As of now, they only have one scheduled (November 30 in Minneapolis).
