Here’s a news flash: Led Zeppelin will embark on a major worldwide tour in 2008. Details from NME:

Led Zeppelin will tour in 2008, the band who have been booked as their tour support have revealed.

Ian Astbury, lead singer of The Cult, has confirmed that they have been roped in to support the recently-reformed band on a jaunt next year.

Seriously though, is this really a surprise to anyone? Why would they pass up the chance to make up hundreds of millions in what could be one of the biggest reunion tours ever?

And can anyone say…Bonnaroo 2008?
