Meet The Death Ramps

The Death Ramps are an immensely talented, young band from England, who already have two #1 albums under their belt. Never heard of them? Maybe thats because it’s a new pseudonym used by the Arctic Monkeys to release two new b-sides included in the upcoming single release of “Teddy Picker”.

Billed as The Death Ramps, the white-label single from Domino Records features the tune “Death Ramps” with “Nettles” on the flip side. Although the label’s officially kept mum about the identity of the act, its website dropped a not-so-subtle hint.”Unfortunately, we’re not allowed to tell you the true identity of the Death Ramps but needless to say they’re a band with A Certain Romance (wink, wink),” the label wrote, alluding to a song of the Monkeys’ album, Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not.

The single is set for release on a limited vinyl on December 3 in the U.K. Unfortunately, the 250 copies made, are already sold out.

I’m sure it will pop up sooner or later though.
