Zeppelin playing Bonnaroo 2008?
I’ve mentioned numerous times over the last three months that I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Led Zeppelin headlining Bonnaroo 2008. Well, now the speculation appears to be growing…
Led Zeppelin will reportedly play their first US show in over 30 years at the Bonnaroo Festival in Tennessee.
The news source is an email in a newsletter written by Bob Lefsetz, who publishes The Lefsetz Letter which looks at the music industry.
The email also reported that Metallica will headline the festival, set to take place in June, says Billboard.
A couple things I’d like to point out. First, the actually discussion about Zeppelin and Bonnaroo in Lefsetz’s letter was far from a confirmation, but was merely the mentioning of an unnamed source, who was reporting this. NME failed too include this part in their article. While in the end, I fully expect Zeppelin to play at Bonnaroo, I think NME and anyone else who believes this is set in stone, may be jumping the gun.
Oh, and no early bird tickets this year?
