New Rancid album in 2008?
Alright, so here is my latest attempt at investigative reporting. I mentioned this a month or so ago, but Rancid has been planning to release their seventh studio album sometime in the near future. And while this album has technically been in the works for almost three years, it looks like things are finally 
happening.
Drummer Brendan Steineckert noted earlier this month that all the writing has been finished.
We’ve just finished writing the new RANCID record here at UNKNOWN STUDIOS and will soon begin recording our new album in California. For more info on RANCID and for updates go to rancidrancid.com or the rancid myspace link on the UNKNOWN STUDIOS page.
A recent newsletter from Rancid’s label HellCat Records confirmed these details and went on to state that the band will begin recording in January.
So it now looks like we may indeed get a new album sometime in 2008. And new tour dates too? In the meantimes, check out B Sides and C Sides.
