Vineland Festival in danger?

Opposition toward the new Vineland Music Festival is reportedly gaining momentum. Many Vineland community members are not thrilled with the possible external circumstances resulting from the scheduled August festival.

Many neighborhood residents share concerns about traffic, noise, potential crime associated with the festival and the environmental impact on the area, [Pete] Steenland said. He spoke during a news conference Wednesday afternoon at his office in the Maintree Commons Shopping Center at Chestnut Avenue and Main Road…

The group is considering several options to try to pull the plug on the Vineland festival, including possibly filing a lawsuit, Steenland said.

There were already concerns regarding how much interest this festival would draw considering it is scheduled to take place a week after Lollapalooza. Perhaps all this adversity is why we haven’t really seen any rumors yet?

  1. Support Vineland Festival! The east coast needs a spot and a several-hundred acre site in NJ is perfect. There’s nothing but farmland out there — very few residences near the site in question!
