Vineland Festival update
The Vineland Music Festival set to take play in New Jersey between August 8-10, 2008 sure has had it’s fair share of problems even getting necessary approval. Another meeting between festival promoters and county officials took place last night left little more decided.
The site plans are scheduled to be reviewed by the Vineland Planning Board at their regular meeting on Feb. 13.
The final decision to approve the contract between the promoters and Elwyn New Jersey, which owns the proposed concert site, will take place within the next 60 days, said council President John Barretta…
However, many who live in the immediate area around the proposed festival site are upset over the sudden influx of concert goers set to descend upon their neighborhood this summer.
Those against the festival’s proposed location, and all the perceived dangers it poses to them, have organized to form Neighbors Against Rock Concert Site (NARCS) and are currently striving to end the city’s plans to hold the concert at the Elwyn property.
