2008 Summer Festival Outlook (SXSW Edition)
It’s been slow last couple of days on all all fronts so I thought I’d take the day to devote a thread entirely to South By Southwest. After all, with the amount of constant leaks, updates, announcements, or whatever else you want to call it, it’s certainly easy to overlook many things.

Check out [Autinist] for a list of small of the smaller, local bands scheduled for SXSW 2008.
That list is sure shaping up nice. And if I were a person who is going, I’d make a strong effort to check out MGMT, Ra Ra Riot, and These New Puritans while I was there.
It’s hard to keep track of everything and it’s hard to keep track of some leaks, especially for smaller bands. If you’re band is playing at SXSW and you’d like to be included on this page, drop me an email.
There are many other awesome sites + blogs, who are keeping lists. Be sure to check out Done Waiting and Club Kingsnake.

We, the OaKs are showcasing SXSW on Wed, March 12 @ The Wave. Hope you can make it!
There’s such a great lineup this year — really looking forward to seeing My Morning Jacket, The Breeders, and Headlights. Yeah!
