Coachella in NYC?
Word from Perez Hilton (honestly?) is that music fans may get two tastes of Coachella this summer.
Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that the Coachella Music Festival is heading east this year!
“In addition having the festival outside of Palm Springs, like they do every year, this year they’re mounting an east coast version of Coachella in New York or possibly New Jersey,” an insider tells us.
The East coast version is expected to be a few months after the Cali affair. “It should be in August,” we’re told.
First off, I don’t believe this at all. If it were true, that would essentially mean the East Coast would have three major music festivals (Vineland and Virgin) all around the same time. How would any of them make a profit?
As one member at the Coachella boards pointed out, Perez did report that the Police headline Coachella 2007. So maybe he needs to find some new “music sources”.
