Radiohead, Jack Johnson to headline NYC festival?
Well it looks more and more like a New York City music festival, produced by GoldenVoice, is indeed going to happen. We’re even starting to get some rumors…
In the latest shift in the competition for music fans this summer, the concert promoters behind the popular Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California will stage a three-day event in Liberty State Park, according to people briefed on the plans. The new festival, tentatively scheduled for Aug. 8 through Aug. 10, is to be presented by the promoter AEG and its Goldenvoice subsidiary. A competing event, the Vineland Music Festival, held by C3 Presents and Festival Republic, a unit of the concert giant Live Nation, is scheduled from Aug. 8 to Aug. 10 in Vineland, N.J. The band Radiohead and the singer-songwriter Jack Johnson have been mentioned as headliners at the Liberty State Park event, though a lineup has not been announced. Representatives for AEG declined to comment.

August 8-10? So conceivably, if all works out, Vineland and this New York City Festival will take place the same weekend. Plus, the two proposed spots, Vineland, New Jersey and Liberty State Park are just 120 miles away from each other.
The Radiohead rumor? Well, we’ll see how that impacts the prospect of a Lollapalooza appearance that so many are counting on.

Seems like to me Lolla and This festival are far enough apart distance wise that Radiohead should be able to headline both events. Plus, they are a week apart, So I don’t see a problem.
Mother F’in Golden Voice GET OUT OF NY at that time period. If they shatter my Radiohead experience at Lollapalooza (ie. highest bidder affair) I am going to be really pissed. Secure them for Coachella, or move the date of the concert. My two cents. yes, this is a ramble (clearly having disregard for semantics)
