Coachella announcement eve

‘Tis the night before the initial Coachella announcement. Well, sort of. As the moment of truth for Coachella fans approach, the leaks and rumors keep rolling in.

Today we learned of five more artists who will stop by Indio, California at the end of April.

At a news conference scheduled for today, [Paul] Tollett and his business partners, which include concert promotion giant AEG Live, plan to announce the full lineup for the ninth edition of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio this April. It will include the Verve, the Raconteurs, Jack Johnson, My Morning Jacket and Rilo Kiley.

That brings the list of “confirmed bands” to 38 on our Coachella outlook. All of these 38 confirmations are based on either band myspace listings or newspaper and blog articles. How accurate is this list? We’ll know later Monday.

Oh, and tonight’s hot rumor? Roger Waters? But wait…

Coachella Festival Doubt We are getting whispers that Roger Waters may not be appearing at the Coachella Festival as expected. If we get any more info about this, or any other possible dates, you can be certain that we will let you know.
