Led Zeppelin to play world tour

During a press conference earlier today in Japan, guitarist Jimmy Page announced that Led Zeppelin are indeed reuniting for a world tour.

Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page said that he is ready to take the band out on a world tour after last month’s one-night reunion concert in London.

But, he warned fans that it is not going to happen soon as the lead singer has other plans.

Those plans involving Robert Plant are his summer tour with Alison Krause. Gigwise is reporting that a Zeppelin tour will not happen until at least September.

Speaking in Tokyo this morning (January 28th), Page said that Robert Plant’s touring commitments with Alison Krauss were currently the frontman’s main priority.

What does this mean for the rumored Bonnaroo appearance? Maybe in 2009?
