Rachel Ray likes indie music, SXSW

Chef/talk show host Rachel Ray reportedly is putting on a SXSW showcase and has invited some of her favorite indie bands to perform.

In one of the more “WTF?” moments in music history, it appears that the rumors are true. Food Network star and syndicated television host Rachel Ray has asked Battles to join her at Austin’s SXSW for a showcase they’re calling “FEEDBACK Showcase…a feast of hot bands and tasty foods.”

Pitchfork says Holy Fuck has been invited too. The “Feedback Show” will apparently take place on March 15.

Can’t say we’re surprised. After all, she has hung out with Brit Daniels, put out a CD, and is married to a guy in a band.
