Jason Collett releases album, goes on tour

Broken Social Scene’s Jason Collett released his fourth solo album Here’s to Being Here yesterday via Arts & Crafts.

The album, produced again by Howie Beck, was largely recorded live off the floor with Collett’s backing band Paso Mino. The result is Collett’s most immediate and urgent release to date. The album has already begun to garner glowing reviews, including 3.5/5 stars in Spin Magazine and Harp who said, “other singers do this kind of thing, but few do it as well as Collett”.

Collett will stop by SXSW during his U.S. tour (after the jump). Broken Social Scene will be at Bonnaroo though there is no word as to whether he will be involved.
