Glastonbury headliners revealed

Glastonbury may be the latest summer music festival to fall into the category of disappointing scheduled headliners… (See also Coachella, Bonnaroo, etc…)

According to insiders, Kings Of Leon and The Verve will headline the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2008, on Friday (27 June) and Sunday (29) nights respectively.

We now have a full complement of headliners since, as previously reported, Jay-Z will definitely top the bill on Saturday (28 June).

Well at least according to fans… But I can see the reasoning since last year did see the likes of The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, and The Who.

  1. Whats up with Glastonbury this year? V festival is a two day festival and has both The Verve AND Kings of Leon Playing… And neither one is even top billing! Muse is. And Glastonbury, the biggest festival in the UK (and possibly the world) gets those two to be two of there main headliners? seems like they could have done better.

  2. I agree. There isn’t much currently out there that would live up to many people’s expectations. It seems like there will always be some disappointment…

  3. the past couple years I have been asking myself, what headliners would really get people excited these days? And i find few answers: Radiohead, Bowie, Pink Floyd, The Smiths, Talking heads.

    Am i missing anything?
