Michael Jackson and the Grammys…
In one form or another, it looks as if Michael Jackson will be appearing at 50th Grammy Awards this upcoming Sunday. The question now is whether the former king of pop will be performing in some manner during the ceremony…

A lot could change between now and Sunday night, but the scenario that’s been described for me goes something like this: Justin Timberlake starts the show singing along with a tape of Frank Sinatra. The next act up is Jackson, performing one of his hits from “Thriller,” possibly even re-creating the dance number for “Billie Jean” he made famous at the Motown 25th anniversary show in 1983.

I never thought I’d be quoting Fox News for anything….
Others are saying that Jackson will be appearing, but not performing…
“Extra” has learned that reports of a special performance Sunday night are false. The show’s Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich has put an end to speculation, dismissing rumors that he’s taking the stage.

As noted in the aforementioned Fox article, this week is the 25th anniversary release of Thriller. [Stream here]
In related Grammy news, Amy Winehouse won’t be there, but she is still performing?
What a joke…

I think that if we get to see Michael Jackson at the Grammy’s this year that it will boost the Grammy’s ratings and if he performs it will be even better. Michael Jackson is truly the King of Pop. Finally his music is coming back to the mainstream and we are starting to see Michael himself back in the public eye in a positive way.
