STP confirm reunion, Velvet Revolver future in doubt

Though a Stone Temple Pilots reunion has been all but confirmed for at least a month, Scott Weiland and company made it official when they announced earlier today on WBZK FM that they will indeed be headlining this year’s Rock on the Range.

The band are also rumored as a possible headliner for this year’s Ozzfest Tour.

And now it appears Weiland’s future with his other high-profile band, Velvet Revolver, may very much be in doubt. Today, the band announced the cancellation of their Australian tour, citing Weiland’s current rehab stint. What more, Melodicrock.com is reporting Weiland has been fired from the band…

Can anyone say… Guns n’ Roses reunion?
