Daft Punk punk’d!

I don’t know if this qualifies as being “punk’d,” but I thought it was a catchy title. Anyhow, someone posing as Thomas Bangalter, one of the two members of that famous electronic duo, attempted to play a joke on bloggers this past week…

‘Love’ was posted in the comments section of a number of ‘blogs last Thursday (14 Feb), claiming to be from an address registered at Daft Punk’s website, with the poster leaving only the initials ‘TB’ as a calling card.

Turns out that the song was actually created/posted by someone named Louis La Roche, whose myspace now declares “Im Not Thomas Bangalter!”

DiS goes on to note that Louis La Roche may in fact be the alter ego for a well-known British producer…
