Focus on Dre’s upcoming disc
It’s the Chinese Democracy of rap albums, Dr. Dre’s long, long, long awaited follow up to 1999’s
Chronic 2001, Detox. There have been delays, there have been cancellations, and yet it’s always on the way. Given that Dre’s known for his perfectionism (just look at the gap between 1992’s Chronic and 1999’s Chronic 2001), this should come as no surprise. However, rapper/producer Focus told MTV News that 2008 might be the year of Dre.
“We’re heavy into Detox now,” he said. “I’m trying to get some tracks on there and give him whole songs so he can keep everything moving. Detox is coming this year. I know that’s what he’s been working very hard on. I want my tracks to be as big as Dre’s name and legend are.”

Focus is also working with the likes of Eminem, in addition to promoting his upcoming debut, Dedicated, slated for released on March 18.
