Langerado this weekend, everyone is canceling

The sixth annual Langerado Music Festival takes place this weekend, marking the unofficial start of the summer festival season! However, the buildup to the festival has been dampered by some recent announcements…

In just the last few weeks, four pretty big acts have canceled their scheduled appearances at Langerado. Vampire Weekend is doing SNL instead. Robert Randolph & the Family Band and Ryan Shaw have other conflicts. And earlier this week, it was revealed Balkan Beat Box are having visa issues.

While the Lee Boys will be replacing Randolph, no word on whether there will be any other additions to fill these voids. However, Justice will be in the area. And Modest Mouse have some friends at Langerado. Just saying…

Regardless of what happens, Langerado still features a pretty impressive lineup. Though Consequence of Sound will not be physically at the festival this year, check back here for extensive coverage throughout the weekend…
