The next big festival…in Canada?

Pemberton, British Columbia may soon by graced by the likes of Coldplay and Tom Petty if Live Nation president Shane Bourbonnais gets his wish.

Shane Bourbonnais is keeping his calendar clear for the end of July because there’s a good chance he’ll be hosting musicians such as Tom Petty and members of Coldplay in Pemberton during a three-day music festival…

“I feel confident that we’re going to get the news we’re looking for and build an incredible event,” Bourbonnais said. “We’ve just got this one last approval that we need and if that one comes favourably we’ll be coming to Pemberton… this summer.”

[The Question]

If approved, the festival would offer on-site camping, European-style feel. I suppose like Glastonbury?

As always, more as it comes…
