More bands will be released in the coming months, but tickets to the three day event go on sale this Wednesday, March 12 at 12pm Central Time.
It’ll be a nice warm Chicago summer day, full of American Apparel advertisements and overjoyed (but not too overjoyed) hipsters abound. To give the rising media conglomerate credit, it’ll be great to see Public Enemy and to get my second helping of Vampire Weekend.

Yes, I particularly love vague, psuedo-political humor myself.
ocean,
right on. best put down ever…
In regards to Ocean’s comment, if anyone thinks that Pitchfork is the underdog on the come-up, you are sorely mistaken. I attended excitedly last year, bemused by Pitchfork’s little jabs at the Coachella’s and Bonarroos of the world.
While I enjoyed the lineup and the overrall vibe of Chicago (very warm, creative and friendly people there), Pitchfork has a whole lot to improve on production-wise. The sound was not good, as attested onstage even by Cat Power, and the placement of their smaller stage needs to be re-evaluated.
Pitchfork likes to talk trash about other festivals, but they need to be on-point with these crucial details if they’re going to challenge the rest.
Sunday looks great. Otherwise, I need me some additions to make a decision…
I might have a stroke trying to comprehend that vague statement. But, okay.
Every piece of shit you kick towards Pitchfork makes you look more like Hillary Clinton.
