Langerado 2008: The Full Recap
Update 2…
Langerado 2008, the first music festival of the new year, has now come and gone. And while we
tried to provide some mini-recaps over the weekend, relying on people who would much rather be watching R.E.M. or the Beastie Boys then uploading videos onto youtube, something completely understandable, doesn’t allow for the easiest of jobs.
But with the festival now technically over, how about we take a shot at providing a somewhat comprehensive recap. Langerado 2008…this was your festival.
Thursday Night:
Dead Confederate kicked off the festivities…

Dark Star Orchestra performed a midnight set, which was probably something like this. Coventry has the setlist.
Friday:
Beastie Boys headlined Friday. The trio performed for 90 minutes, which include both free style and instrumental performances. More on Mic-to-Mic.
The Roots also performed on Friday.
As did 311, who are featured in a video diary(?)
Matisyahu hung with the Wailers…
Built to Spill played at the “Chickee Hut”…
Also on Friday, G.Love and the Special Sauce got reviewed, Matisyahu hung out with Ozomatli, and Sam Bush covered Dylan. Incertus has many more clips, while Ohmpark has tons of photos.
Saturday:
R.E.M. headlined Saturday to rave reviews. Included in their setlist were eight new songs appearing on their upcoming album Accelerate.
Besides hanging out with folks, Matisyahu took the stage too…
Ben Folds performed on Saturday as well…
And Ghostland Observatory…
The New Mastersounds…
Ohmpark also has pictures from day three. The Avett Brothers had to cancel their appearance. Arrested Development and Dr. Dog still performed.

Gov’t Mule performed “This is a Man’s World”…
Minus the Bear played “Pachuca Sunrise”…
Ani DiFranco took the stage…
