Pemberton Festival 2008
Remember when we told you that Canada has festivals too? Well, it looks as if you can add another 
one to the list. As we first reported last month, Live Nation has been working on bringing a major music festival to Pemberton, British Columbia. Today, those plans came to fruition as details of the first ever Pemberton Music Festival were officially announced.
Billboard.com has learned that Coldplay, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Jay-Z and Nine Inch Nails will headline the first-ever Pemberton Festival, set for July 25-27 in Pemberton, B.C…
Also on the bill are My Morning Jacket, the Tragically Hip, Interpol, Flaming Lips and Death Cab For Cutie, along with newer acts like Vampire Weekend, MGMT and Sia. The plan is to feature two stages, a dance stage and more than 50 bands.

Definetly makin my way over from calgs!! im pissin myself in anticipation. The venue is sick and the diverstiy and qualtiy of bands playing is rediculous. I thikn we all owe a big thanks to the communtiy of pemberton for allowin this to take place in there backyard.
How does one get in as a vendor at this festival, specializing in Caribbean Food?

What a lineup… Couldn’t think of a more beautiful backdrop than Mt. Currie for an outdoor music festival. Can’t wait to go!
Thats so crazy. When i first heard the line up i thought it was a joke… to good to be true! specially for pemberton BC ! Im definatly going!!!
I’m stunned. I live in Vancouver and have gone to Coachella twice and will be hitting Sasquatch for the second time in May. It’s a fantastic site for a festival and to get this range of bands for a first effort is pretty amazing.
