Liars to open for Radiohead
It looks like the Liars will be the lucky band opening for Radiohead on the first leg of their upcoming U.S. tour. At least, according to Live Nation. Can’t say we’re all that surprised. After all, Thom Yorke loves the LA based band.

As for leg #2? Though nothing has been confirmed, Underworld is opening for Radiohead at All Points West and we see no reason why the UK electronic duo wouldn’t accompany Thom Yorke and company at the rest of their U.S. shows. But then again, maybe it will be Kings of Leon?

That would be one of the best shows ever.
Who are ya’ll kidding? The Liars sound like a broken trash compactor with a couple of cats stuck in it. I saw them open for Interpol as well (in Seattle). I was dizzy it was so bad.
I hope that when Radiohead hits Seattle they have a different band doing opening duties. Kings of Leon would be wicked. Now they’re a great live band.

You couldn’t be more wrong about Liars, Drew. They may be an acquired taste, but they are superb live. I can’t imagine trying to recreate some of the tracks from Drum’s Not Dead in a live setting, yet they manage to pull it off…
Now if only they’d play “It Fit When I Was A Kid” this time…. (I’ve seen them thrice before.)
Oh, and “This Dirt Makes That Mud” would REALLY piss some people off if they did the full 30 minutes
saw the Liars open for Interpol and they freaking blew. I have seen many live shows in my life and have never thought a band sucks so bad in my life. A real downer these guys are opening for Radiohead
