North by Northeast is the Canadian/eastern/summer equivalent to South by Southwest. This year’s conference is scheduled to take place between June 12-15 (yep, the same time as Bonnaroo) in Toronto, Canada. Here is a short summary, lets call it an introduction, of what is currently known…

So far, info is hard to come by, but below are some of the bands/artists currently confirmed:

Moja, The Vibrants, Spirits of the Dead, 6 Day Riot, Kind of Girl, David Arcari, We Are Balboa, Alex & the Ramps, Monareta,  Catnip, The Boy Britt, menwhopause, and Les Nubians

Several smaller bands have also submitted applications to participate.
