Ace Frehley preps solo album, tour
“Space” Ace Frehley recently announced plans for a new solo album and tour. The guitar 
legend and Kiss guitarist’s newest slice of guitar guts and glory, aptly titled Pain In The Neck, will see a release sometime soon in 2008. It will be his first solo album in 19 years.
The album will include songs written prior to his rejoining of Kiss back in 1996 as well as a collaboration with fellow legendary guitarist Slash.
“The record to me is secondary to the fact that I needed to come back and let everybody know I’m alive and well. Some of my old band mates kind of dragged my name through the mud a little, so I figured that it was time for me to re-emerge and let everybody know I’m not dead.”
Ace also recently shed light on plans for his upcoming tour. (Dates below…)
“Everyone in my new band is starting to lock in together and we all get along great on and off the stage. Things are good. Sobriety helps. It’s much easier for me to tour now that I’m not waking up with a hangover every day.
“There’s an old saying, ‘The more you do, the more you can do.’ I just think it’s important that I get out there and show everyone that I’m trying to make a comeback.”
