Reading and Leeds: pre-Initial Lineup
According to Festival Republic head Melvyn Benn, the mind behind the Reading and Leeds Music
Festivals, this year’s lineup will blow be quite spectacular. “Reading and Leeds will blow everything else out of the water,” he told NME.com. “Festivals have become part of British culture. I don’t know any other country that’s as obsessed as Britain.”
How is the lineup for this year’s pair of festivals, set to take place between August 22 and 24, looking so far? Well, aside from The Killers being confirmed, we won’t officially know anything for a few more hours. Though you can probably expect most of these names to appear…
The Killers, Rage Against The Machine, Metallica, Queens of the Stone Age, Bloc Party, Biffy Clyro, The Raconteurs, Tenacious D, Slipknot, Taking Back Sunday, Editors, Babyshambles, We Are Scientists, Dirty Pretty Things, Vampire Weekend, The Cribs, Paramore, Justice, The Subways, Feeder, Serj Tankian, Pendulum, Manic Street Preachers, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Anti Flag, The Wombats, Foals, MGMT, Bullet For My Valentine, and Gallows
Please remember, nothing is official. We’ll post the announced lineup when it comes.
Until then, check out out NME and Virtual Festivals for more…

The festival websites have been updated with the official announcement, and it is pretty much exactly what you have posted.
