The Living End have plans for 2008
It’s another big day for Australian musicians as The Living End now announce plans for a new album. The band will be working with producer John Agnello, known for his work with distortion lovers Dinosaur Jr. and Sonic Youth.
After quite a long period of writing/demoing we are keen as hell to get in the studio and make the best record of our career. We are more excited about the new material than any time before in The Living End’s history - seriously!” said Chris Cheney.
“There is a heaviness and depth to the new stuff that we simply haven’t had before. We haven’t worked alongside producer John Agnello before but judging from the rock records he’s done, we feel he can capture the energy and attack that we are after.“
What’s even more hip is that the new album will also be mixed by producer Brendan O’Brien, who has some very, very interesting projects ahead…
The Living End will then be stepping in to mix the record with legendary producer Brendan O’Brien, who will be mixing the album in between his commitments recording the new AC/DC album and the new Pearl Jam record.
New Pearl Jam record? Aside from the “confirmation” of the AC/DC rumors, this comes as quite the surprise. Though the recent news coming from the Pearl Jam camp hints at some activity due in the next coming months. Could their upcoming tour be a platform for new tunes a la Radiohead in 2006? We’ll see.
However, look out for The Living End’s new release this summer.
