Stone Temple Pilots debut Monday
While originally thought to debut at Columbus, Ohio’s Rock on the Range Festival, Stone Temple Pilots are
jumping the gun and taking the stage this Monday. This seems to coincide with the band’s “April 7th secret” that has been buzzing the net for weeks now.
It’s no secret that Stone Temple Pilots are reuniting, and now we can confirm that the band’s first gig in six years is set for a secret location in Hollywood on Monday night. The band will perform to a small group of contest winners, fans, and Citi cardholders as they announce details of their 65-date tour, which kicks off May 17 at Columbus, Ohio’s Rock the Range Festival.
The Monday night event is sponsored by Spin and Citi’s Private Pass Program to benefit the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, and, for those of you who can’t get into the Hollywood show, we’ll be posting video from Monday night’s event right here at SPIN.com.

Tickets for the show will be limited; however, a certain allotment will be made through savethemusic.com and privatepass.citi.com. Though fans shouldn’t worry given that the concert is technically a glorified press junket, announcing a sprawling sixty-five date tour. Sometime this year, you will be likely to see them.
Keep a watchful eye come Monday for dates and ticket information.

Christ … 65 dates? If that’s just a US tour, they’re going to be EVERYWHERE.
Yeah, it’s very impressive. I’m hoping for Lolla still. Otherwise, I’ll have to actually buy tickets to this thing.
No kidding, 65 dates. Thats ALOT of dates. Personally, IDK how they got booked at Virgin as a headliner if they actually have that many dates. There wont be that much of a demand to see them at Virgin if there playing DC the week before and Philly the week after.
