Bumbershoot gives a taste

Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival is scheduled to take place at the edge of summer, August 30-September 1, in Seattle, WA. Tonight, the folks behind the Seattle music festival gave us a taste of this year’s lineup. Looks like some of us might need to pull a Christopher McCandless and hike it to the Pacific Northwest.

Beck, Stone Temple Pilots, Lucinda Williams, Neko Case, Ingrid Michaelson, Del Tha Funky Homosapien, Jakob Dylan, !!!, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Saul Williams, Joe Bonamassa, M. Ward, The Walkmen, Asylum St. Spankers, Dan Deacon, MIDIval PunditZ, Blitzen Trapper, Bedouin Soundclash, Tim Finn, Dale Watson, John Vanderslice, Final Fantasy, The Fall of Troy, Orgone, Forro in the Dark, Ryan Bingham, Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby, Arthur & Yu, Darondo and Nino Moschella, Pacifika and many more to be announced.

The 38th annual Bumbershoot: Seattle’s Music & Arts Festival, Presented by Samsung Mobile announces the partial 2008 lineup. The 3-day urban event takes place Labor Day Weekend (August 30 – September 1). The Festival stretches across the 74-acre Seattle Center, located beneath the city’s iconic Space Needle, and programs 20 indoor and unique outdoor venues. This progressive Festival features a diverse array of arts including live music, comedy, theatre, dance, film, urban crafts, and literary and visual arts.
