Alkaline Trio have plans for 2008

Still hung over from last weekend? Well, it is already Wednesday, but if you’ve beenl_6119048630ba84c4d45156deb9c3bf32.jpg listening to Matt Skiba, then you might have an excuse. The vocalist, who sings of heartbreak and alcoholism, is returning with the Trio to release its sixth album, entitled Agony and Irony. For those with keen interest on what the band might be writing about, here’s a track listing.

01. “Calling All Skeletons
02. “Help Me
03. “In Vein
04. “Over And Out
05. “I Found Away
06. “Live Young, Die Fast
07. “Four Four Four Four
08. “Lost And Rendered
09. “Ruin It
10. “Into The Night

Meanwhile, the upcoming single, “Help Me”, will hit radio in the next coming weeks, though you can listen to it on the band’s MySpace page. As for the album, Agony and Irony will be released through Epic Records this summer, July 1st. To prepare for the release, the band will be heading overseas in May, where they will be playing the Give It A Name Festival in London and Sheffield.

Ah, I better start hitting the bottle now.
