Roger’s Picnic 2008 announces initial lineup
Not every festival has to be the next Lollapalooza or Coachella, after all, those festivals started somewhere, right? Roger’s Picnic, out of Toronto, is one of many close knit festivals, where fans really have a chance to be one on one with the artists. This year’s Picnic will be held at the Historic Fort York on Sunday July 20th. While the line up is still to be released, we’ve received confirmation of several artists thus far.
Currently confirmed for this years festival are Tokyo Police Club, Animal Collective, Chromeo, Born Ruffians. Still working on a bunch of acts…
Keep on the look out, however. This is the same festival that brought together such acts as The Roots, Bedouin Soundclash, Bad Brains, Tegan and Sara, The New Pornographers, The Dears, Little Brother and Apostle of Hustle. Going off of that and what is there so far, it might be safe to say that Toronto will have a nice little Sunday to look forward to, so start marking those calendars.
