Coachella, Wakarusa add names
Both the lineups for this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Wakarusa Music & Camping Festival saw additions today. 
While we wouldn’t call the additions to Coachella anything to go nuts over, Swervedriver, Perry Farrell, Jesse Murphy, and Vas Defrans were all added to the 2008 lineup. This of course, comes after the recent news that Prince would be appearing in Indio after all.
But could something even bigger be coming? The newly revealed poster, which features a pretty large gap between Prince and Roger Waters, sure indicates that another major addition may be on the horizon. Coachella fans are coming up with all types of ideas. David Bowie? The Prodigy? God? We shall see…
As for Wakarusa, the Lawrence, Kansas music festival added to an already impressive lineup.
We’ve added a few more notable artists to an already mind-blowing lineup: Ben Folds, Built To Spill, Uncle Monk (feature Tommy Ramone - the only surviving member of the Ramones), Papa Mali, Mountain of Venue, Turbine, WhiteWater Ramble and Brent Berry Band.

and yes i know that the name “perry farrell” was added to the poster according to this post…but as a solo artist?…sounds weird…if hes doing a dj set he does it as “peretz”…
i thought about this jack johnson headliner hoax theory the other day…maybe he was just a place holder to do exactly what hes done…cause a bunch of people to scratch their heads saying “wtf?”…but all the while maybe its a big hoax and he was always going to be replaced with a legit headliner…
ive heard rumors that janes addiction is reuniting and perry farrell is always at coachella in one form or another…maybe?…seems like his lollapalooza festival would be a more appropriate venue though doesnt it?…
i just bought my tix for coachella after initially deciding to end my chella streak at 4 years after the lineup was first released…
i wish i knew how to quit you coachella…(sorry for the 3-years-old pop-culture reference)…
Just floating this around, but I’ve heard that Jack Johnson might not be headlining any of the major festivals…ie…Bonnaroo too.
We’ll see.
if there is another prince sized announcement, i will kill myself for buying all points west tickets.
friday needs a headline. radiohead starts it tour may 5th, so it would make sense…. stone temple pilots are another band could make friday a good day
I also find that poster a bit deceiving, the new way it is laid out makes it look like prince is on friday (when he is on saturday) and Jack Johnson is on saturday. portis on friday etc. etc.
If Coachella gets another add on the scale of Prince, I am going to be Extremely Jealous.
