Albert Hammond, Jr. preps new album

According to his myspace page, Albert Hammond, Jr. has finished the followup to 2006’s Yours to Keep. Entitled Como Te Llama, the 13-track album, produced by Greg Lattimer, will be released sometime in June, and features the likes of Matt Romano, Josh Lattanzi, and Marc Philippe Eskanazi.

While none of the album’s 13 tracks have been officially revealed, songs like ““Miss Myrtle,”  “Rocket,” “In My Room,” (check out below…) and “Spooky Couch” are expected to appear on the Strokes guitarist, turned solo artist’s latest effort.

Hammond also noted that he will soon announce a lengthly U.S. tour in support of the release.

Where does this leave the future of The Strokes? Hammond told Rolling Stone he is excited about recording their next album,  “We have the luxury of time,” he says. “We’re not going anywhere,” but as of now, the band has yet to begin the process.
