Interpol prep summer schedule

Interpol will reportedly begin working on their followup to 2007’s Our Love to Admire, beginning this fall. And according to drummer Sam Fogarino, changes in the recording process may be on the way…

“Switching labels and working with a co-producer, and not working at Peter [Katis]‘ studio, it was all these new firsts all at one time,” he says. “It rattled the foundations a little bit. Never to the extreme, but things finally felt realistic. The first two albums were kind of a blur. We could never believe what was going on. Now our feet are touching the ground.”

In the meantime, the New York based band will be appearing at a number of music festivals this summer.

Fogarino recently formed a new band, Magnetic Morning, with ex-Screwdriver guitarist  Adam Franklin.
