The Replacements reissue first four albums

Rolling Stone announced in its list of spring ‘08 LP’s to be released, Minneapolis punk/alternative rock legends The Replacements will reissue their first four albums on April 22nd. These include Sorry Ma, Forgot To Take Out The Trash (1981), Stink [EP] (1982), Hootenanny (1983) and the critically acclaimed Let It Be (1984).

“The Replacements’ first three studio albums (plus their 1982 EP Stink) are being reissued with thirty bonus tracks — including the band’s original 1980 four-track demo.”

This comes as the first new news of The Replacements since Paul Westerberg, Tommy Stinson and Chris Mars reunited to release their greatest hits album, as well as two new originals “Message To The Boys” & “Pool & Dive.” Could something be in the woodworks? Maybe so. Their first published biography was published late last year, so who knows. For the meantime, go grab the sound that made Minneapolis famous!

For now, here’s the ultimate anthem of the 1980’s. Period. “Bastards Of Young”
