Lollapalooza, ACL unofficially add artists?
This year, C3 Presents, the company behind Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, introduced a creative way of educating festival-goers about their respective lineups. Among other things, the “Artist Discovery” section features bios and individual mp3 players for each name that will be appearing at Chicago and/or Austin later this summer.
It also offers a pretty easy way to find artist additions. Several new names appeared on both the Lollapalooza and ACL “Arist Discovery” pages today, offering us a taste of who may be appearing in the next round of lineup additions.
Iron & Wine, the Toadies, Saul Williams, DeVotchKa, and Wild Sweet Orange are all new additions to Lollapalooza’s discovery page, though since being discovered by fans, the pages have been remove.
Those not enough for you? Well, a New Pornographers addition could be on the way as well…
As for ACL, Blues Traveler and Adele are the two current additions to their version of the discovery page. But then again, most fans seem more concerned about a Brian Eno/David Byrne performance than anything else…
