Meltdown Festival 2008
The Meltdown Festival is one of the more unique concert events of the summer, offering one lucky band a chance to curate their own personal festival. This year’s “guest directors” will be Massive Attack, who have organized the following lineup for the 15th edition of Meltdown, set to take place between June 14 and 22 at London’s Southbank Centre.
14th June - Massive Attack / Gong
15th June - Yellow Magic Orchestra / Reggae Acoustic Songbook (feat. Horace Andy)
16th June - Elbow / Fleet Foxes
17th June - Vangelis’ Blade Runner Soundtrack performed by Heritage Orchestra
18th June - Stiff Little Fingers / The Shortwave Set / Martina Topley Bird
19th June - Grace Jones / Future Sound Of Hip Hop (feat. Dalek) / Cool Kids
20th June - Gang of Four / Tom Tom Club / Terry Callier / Aloe Blacc
21st June - Tunng / Leila
22nd June - Massive Attack / Saxon Sound System
Tickets will go on sale begining Thursday, April 24.
Massive Attack will also be releasing a new album in the near future.
