The Black Crowes take flight in 2008
Hot on the heels of their recent album, Warpaint, The Black Crowes are slated for a ninety date tour, sprawling all across America, in support of their first new album in nearly a decade. For those interested in seeing the male version of Karen Carpenter and some incredibly talented guitar playing, then the midnight pre-sales might be your “thang.”
Special “Midnight Pre-Sales” will be available at blackcrowes.com. A limited number of prime seats in each venue have been set aside by the band for fans and will go on sale at midnight (est), the Friday one week before the public on-sales. Fans who purchase “Midnight Pre-Sale” tickets will receive free downloads of unreleased live material.
Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes had this to say of their 2008 tour announcement: “Set your mind to fly…come join the jubilee.”
Their “Euphoria Or Bust” Tour follows the release of the band’s new album Warpaint, which debuted earlier this yeart at #5 on Billboard’s Top 200, #1 on Billboard’s Digital Chart, #2 on the Indie Chart, as well as #2 on iTunes.com.
Between some acoustic shows (their first ever) in New York City and their quote, unquote “residency” in San Francisco, this is shaping up to be a promising summer for the band. Let’s hope fans throw Robinson some Christmas meat by the year’s end.

Hell ya! I’ve been to three shows this year - yes they deviate from the hits but each and every show is different. These guys have an astounding amount of material and infuse the Crowes unique style into every tune. Agreed Warpaint is amazing and, while different in style, can be compared in quality to Shake Your Money Maker, Southern Harmony and Amorica. I have tickets for several more shows this year. Rock on!
I agree with Michael. Listen to FM as I did recently for the first time in years. Same songs you have heard for 30 years.
Warpaint just might be their best album ever ! I went to Cleveland on 07/30 and I was very impressed. These guys are seasoned veteren musicions.
I have tickets for the Ryman on 11/16 and I live in Ohio !
Rock On !!
Why don’t you just stay home and listen to FM radio and hear all your hits. The real fans still want to ride out with the band. Go see REO Speedwagon, I’m sure they’ll play all their hits for you.
Don’t waste your time or money if you want to hear the Crowes classics. I recently saw them, August 15, and the show sucked. They played one, yes one, classic which was “Twice As Hard”. Every other song they played ended with a five minute jam session. Save your money if your an old-school Crowes fan.
