AC/DC complete album, hint tour

acdc_wideweb__470x3530.jpgGolden god rockers, AC/DC, have finished recording their sixteenth studio album, which follows 2000’s Stiff Upper Lip. Singer Brian Johnson has been speaking to the media, rather excitedly, about the upcoming release, hinting at further plans which might involve touring. Wouldn’t that put a damper on the ol’ wallet, huh?

AC/DC has finished recording its new album and is currently mixing the effort for a late 2008 release, the group’s vocalist Brian Johnson revealed yesterday morning (Tuesday, April 22) during an interview with Washigton D.C.’s DC 101 radio station.

Johnson has apparently left the studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where AC/DC guitarists Angus and Malcolm Young have remained with producers Mike Fraser and Brendan O’Brien in order to complete work on the CD.

Brian also stated that the band will next work on getting the artwork done and take care of the promotional activities in connection with the release, to be followed by a tour.

Given O’Brien’s recent work with Pearl Jam, where he managed to turn the epic grunge rockers into garage rock heroes, one should start salivating over the new album for AC/DC. If not for the tour, which, don’t quote me on this, could be their last.

We’ll dish the news, you carry the bib.
