Jane’s Addiction make return at NME
Jane’s Addiction made their much publicized reunion during last night’s NME Awards at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. Performing for the first time in nearly 17 years with all four original members, frontman Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, bassist Eric Avery and drummer Stephen Perkins, the band played four tunes before receiving a career achievement award.
“We made it and I’m really happy to be here,” said Farrell, alternately guzzling from a bottle of red wine and dispensing its contents to fans in the mosh pit.
The quartet received the Godlike Genius Award — a trophy of a clenched fist with the middle finger pointed skyward — for their contribution to the development of alternative rock.

No word yet on any further reunion shows, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be happening.

I really hope they make an appearance at Lolla.
