Outkast promise new album in 2009?

Outkast aren’t dead. In fact, Antwan “Big Boi” Patton and “André 3000″ Benjamin, despite the solo projects and movie appearances, are still a full fledged hip-hop group, who are apparently prepping for a new album in 2009.

At least according to Big Boi in a recent interview with MTV.com

“Outkast are stronger than ever”…

The iconic musicians say they are and have always been in each other’s good graces, and their next album will be coming in 2009.

“We got a few songs we already picked out,” Big explained. “We pick the beats first. I drop my [solo album] in July, Dre puts his out [later this year], and we drop that Outkast record at the top of [next] year.

In the meantime, fans have plenty of time to check out Big Boi’s aforementioned new, 13-track solo album, Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, due out sometime in July. Among the tracks expected to be on the album, includes a mini-Outkast reunion song called, “Royal Flush,” featuring André 3000 and Raekwon.
