Coldplay leak cover art

With the English quartet’s anticipation of their first album since 2005’s X & Y, Coldplay revealed the cover for their fourth album Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends on NME this morning. The cover is taken from the painting “Liberty Leading The People” by French Romantic painter Eugene Delacroix, except the band has spraypainted “Viva La Vida” over the top of it. Pretty edgy stuff!

Also in anticipation of the album, NME will be issuing a free single “Violet Hill” in the May 10th issue. Definitely go and get it!
