No more Yellowcard?
According to sources Kerrang! and the University Of Tampa newspaper The Minaret, Jacksonville pop punkers Yellowcard have decided to take an “indefinite hiatus” following their acoustic tour, which finishes on May 10th. Frontman Ryan Key elaborated on the band’s decision to break:
“We are calling it an ‘Indefinite Hiatus’,” said frontman Ryan Key in an interview with The University Of Tampa newspaper. “It could be a year, 10 years, or 6 months. It’s been an interesting time in this business and [with] our record label. It’s just… We kind of need a break.
When asked about if the decision would be permanent, Key replied:
“Hopefully we will get back to making another record sometime, if not it may be our last but we don’t really know. We’re just keeping the door open.”
Yellowcard and their fellow neighbors The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have put Jacksonville back on the musical map following Limp Bizkit’s exit, stage left. The band is currently wrapping up their tour with a final performance at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 10th.
As long as you guys get back together people might be able to cope by listening to other of your CD’s……. PLEASE DON’T LET IT BE PERMANENT!!!!!!!

For the love of all that is sugary and candy-coated, DON’T DO THIS. “Breathing” and “Ocean Avenue” are two incredibly awesome songs! I know it may only be temporary, but for the time that it’s going on it will be tragic! WHY?!
