NKOTB release dates

425nkotb08040208.jpgThere’s pathetic and then there’s pathetically funny. The idea of a New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) reunion tour lies somewhere in between. Although I must admit, judging on the few current press photos of the group, Donnie Wahlberg cleaned himself up, and with good reason. Already, there are troves of thirty-something women waiting anxiously for the upcoming tour. Today is their lucky day, depending on where they live.

Wahlberg and friends unveiled some initial dates, listed below, but here’s some more information about what’s “going down” soon.

The group will give its first live performance in more than a dozen years May 16 on NBC-TV’s “Today” show. That will be immediately followed by appearances at radio festivals in East Rutherford, NJ, and Mansfield, MA, after which the New Kids will skip into fall with a handful shows in the eastern US and Canada beginning Sept. 20 in Montreal. The itinerary is listed below.

Tickets for the fall tour go on sale to the general public beginning May 10. VIP packages will be available starting May 2, and American Express card holders will have a shot at pre-sale tickets in several markets beginning May 5. Further details will be posted at the New Kids on the Block website.

Who else is crossing their fingers for a new album? Nobody? Hmm…

  1. I absolutely love the New Kids. I saw them in Nashville in March and they rocked it. They put on the best show I ever saw in my life. People always underestimated them but they obviously proved them wrong. When people say that its pathetic that they reunited it makes me sick because they obviously havent seen one of their shows before!

  2. come to el paso please

  3. next year stop by and visit elpaso

  4. Ummmm, sold out arenas and a crazy big fan base? Not really pathetic, I’m thinking more genius. They waited for the perfect time to make waves. And all off us “Blockheads” are going to help them do it.

  5. michael i think based on initial sales and extensive popularity of the comeback..you are most definitely the pathetic one…editor?? hmmm..dont think so ;-)

  6. I just finished listening to that young singer Nasri on MYSPACE and his music is so great. He is actually behind the NKOTB comeback. He wrote the song “ click click click ” and co-wrote “ summertime ” with Donnie. He also is working on some other songs with the group according to the NKOTB website. Here’s the link I found.

My Favorite song is “NOT THE SAME” (myspace.com/nasriworld)

Check his myspace and add him as a friend because he always replies back with a thank you. He’s really hot too!!

    GO NKOTB & NASRI
